I've been a fantastic blog reader, but a terrrrrrible blog commenter lately. But I couldn't not comment on this wonderful post. What a beautiful name and baby!!! CONGRATS!!! :D
Thanks so much. Baby naming is like 1/3 the fun of making them.
Congratulations, beautiful name. Wow. May the next few days be peaceful. xo
Thanks so much. We're having moments of peace, so that will have to do for now:)
oh, lovely!!! I confess I was obsessively checking your blog, sure that your recent silence meant BABY. Love everything about this announcement. . .
At a certain point you just don't know what to say any more. "Still waiting." "Still waiting" and then BOOM. Not waiting anymore!
Ooohhhhh my goodness!! She is perfection. Congrats on Miss Alamae! Sending tons of love and warm light your way.Jessica
Congrats, Rachel! Hope you and your family are doing well. xo
We are. Thanks, Kate. Hope you're doing well too. You should think about doing Alumni Weekend this year. I would love to catch up. And it's great.
I love that she's already spicy!
That's what happens when you name 'em after Canjuns and wild red heads.
Congratulations. Delighted for you! -Adah
ALAMAE is HERE!!!! And I'm just now finding out. She is a beauty! She looks like Arlo! Oh boy, my heart started racing when I saw this....I haven't been checking in as well as usual, although before my trip I was checking obsessively! And like you wrote above, boom, she's here. That's what it feels like on this end for sure. Is the family nutso over her? How's non-baby Arlo doing with his usurped status? How's little mama Sena? I can't wait to see all the dynamics. I just read your newest post on stay-at-home momming and homeschooling and can't wait to hear more how all that goes with new baby in the midst too. Eternal and endless congratulations. I always thought babies must long to be born with the full moon to light their way. I'd love to hear how you came up with her lovely name too. She is going to fit right in!!!! So much love and admiration to you guys from our little corner!
They are all adjusting really well. Arlo has handled it better than I ever could have imagined. He hasn't shown any signs of jealousy, which I was pretty worried about. Thanks for all your well wishes and kindness. It's a damn good time over here. New baby and warmer weather and a general sense that all is well in the world. Keeps me from being too jealous about all you CA folks and your beach pictures.
Just catching up with your splendid news! Very lovely words for a very lovely young person. Welcome to the world :).
Congratulations, Rachel! How much joy there must be in your house right now. She is beautiful!
